- Red Ginseng is created by steaming and drying fresh ginseng once.
- Black Ginseng undergoes a traditional 9-cycle steaming and drying process known as "Gujeung-gupo". This meticulous method concentrates the active ingredients and gives the ginseng its deep black colour.
Maximum potency of Rare Ginsenosides
- Through the repeated 9-cycle process, the chemical structure of the ginseng changes.
- Black Ginseng contains significantly higher levels of rare ginsenosides (such as Rg3, Rh2, and Rk1) compared to Red Ginseng.
- In particular, Rg3, known for its powerful antioxidant and immunity-boosting properties, is found in much greater concentrations in Black Ginseng.
Easier Absorption
- The repeated steaming breaks down the ginsenosides into smaller, low-molecular-weight structures.

Directions
- Put Black ginseng, 0.9L water, 3 jujubes, and 3g of ginger into a pot and boil until reduced to 1/3 of initial amount. Drink 2 or 3 times a day.
